Program Calendars (Year-Round)
This calendar pertains to the D8 program options for Studio Dryland and DRC Tanks & Rowing. D8 is typically 6th through 8th Grades although High School students new to rowing often start with this group prior to making a full-time program committment. This program emphasizes proper rowing machine (Erg) form vs. speed or power, anatomically safe adolescent Strength & Conditioning and Sculling technique on the water. Inbound High school freshman are taught Sweep technique begining the Summer after 8th grade and Erg speed, endurance and times are prioritized.
Coxswain curriculum is taught as an additional path after basic sculling and ergometer skills. All coxswains are expected to understand basic rowing principles.
This calendar addresses both U19 & Masters Practices, both Studio & DRC locations.
